Hoboken Italian Festival

The Hoboken Italian Festival, also known as the Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri, is back for 2018 and is happening this weekend, Thursday, September 6th through Sunday, September 9th. This Hoboken tradition dates back over 90 years and is returning for yet another year on the waterfront featuring rides, games, music, and delicious food.

The festival will take place along Sinatra Drive on Hoboken’s waterfront which is just a 10-minute walk from your Bexley apartment and features amazing views of New York City. The feast is great event to enjoy with friends and the whole family! They will have a wide array of live performances, local vendors, and of course Italian food! Bite into the best sausage sandwich and rice balls you’ve ever had and for dessert treat yourself to some fried Oreos, funnel cake and zeppole’s while you listen to the live music and watch the fireworks at the pier.

The Hoboken Italian Festival has great live performances lined up as well — a Hoboken favorite being Freestyle Friday (Friday, September 6th at 6PM) featuring DJ Rey and DJ Macho and live performances by Judy Torres, Lime, Boriqua Posse, Dani Dante, Alus, Roger Ortega, and more! Judy Torres has had a singing career spanning over three decades and is dubbed the Queen of Freestyle by her fans.  Make sure to bring your dancing shoes!

One of the highlights of the festival is watching the great grape stomp off between the Hoboken police and fire department so be sure not to miss this event!
