Celebrating National Sangria Day in Hoboken

Across the nation each year on December 20, National Sangria Day is observed. There are endless ways to make sangria, making it a great drink to enjoy year round. Lucky for Bexley residents, you can have this delicious drink any day of the week right outside your apartment.

Lola’s – Lola’s is a low key tapas restaurant, which is a great spot for dates and sangria! The ambiance inside is designed to feel like you’re dining in a villa or the streets of Spain.  Some of their favorites are the avocado salad with skirt steak, chorizo, Spanish meatballs and shrimp in garlic sauce.  They also have a downstairs area for private parties.

La Isla Uptown – This Cuban restaurant has excellent sangria, coffee and food.  They are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and do a Sunday brunch.  Some favorites off the menu are the jumbo shrimp, Cuban sandwiches and the half roasted chicken.

La Casa – This small Cuban restaurant has a great staff and excellent food. You can also get dinner for 2 people for under $40 and still leave feeing full and satisfied. We recommend any of their steak dishes and all entrees come with two sides such as fries, rice, salad, tostones, veggies and more. They have a variety of sauces and you can’t go wrong with any of them! La Casa is a great for date night and offers outdoor seating during the warmer months.  They are BYOB but have delicious sangria mix.
